- On Friday, February 24, 2017, the ASCE OC GI will be hosting a half-day continuing education seminar that will focus on sustainability in geotechnical practice. The lead presenter for the seminar, which will be held at Irvine City Hall, will be Mr. Jeff Keaton (AMEC-Foster Wheeler). - On Wednesday and Thursday, March 29 and 30, 2017, the ASCE SD GI, UCSD, and SD EERI will be co-hosting the 2nd Workshop on Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering. The workshop topic will be “Dealing with the Consequences of Liquefaction,” and will feature a lifetime achievement tribute hosted by Professor I.M. - On March 12-15, 2017, Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 will take place in Orlando, Florida. Co-organized by Geo-Institute of ASCE and IFAI’s Geosynthetic Materials Association, it is the third edition of this popular conference combining the biannual Geosynthetics and annual Geo-Congress events.
